How OC Pepper Spray Works
OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) is a concentrated extract derived from chilli peppers. When deployed, it causes intense irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory system, resulting in temporary incapacitation, coughing, tears and breathing discomfort.
Effects can last from 20 minutes to over an hour, providing valuable time to escape and seek assistance.
What is Oleoresin?
Oleoresins are highly concentrated natural extracts containing the active compounds of plants and spices. OC spray uses capsicum extract to deliver a powerful, non-lethal self-defence deterrent.
