Shoei FG42 Museum Quality Non-Firing Replica is a non-functional display reproduction inspired by the distinctive German Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 developed for Luftwaffe paratroopers during the Second World War. The historically unusual design combined a rifle-length profile with a prominent side-mounted magazine, folding sights and distinctive stock furniture.
This example includes an optical sight, a wooden-style fore-end, a dark ribbed buttstock, a detachable display magazine and a long narrow muzzle-mounted spike-style attachment. The accompanying Barry & Son stock label identifies this example as a Shoei Japan museum-quality FG42 replica. The precise historical variant has not been independently verified.
